What are the evaluation criteria for granting Quality Labels and eTwinning awards?
The evaluation criteria for the Quality Labels and Awards are basically the same:
- Pedagogical innovation and creativity
- Integration in the study programme
- Collaboration among the associated schools
- Creativity in the use of ICTs
- Continuity and transferability
- Results and benefits
While respecting these criteria and descriptions which are common to all the participating countries, each country can define additional ones. In the case of Spain, a series of indications has been added which can be found here.
How do you get a European Quality Label?
The European Quality Label is granted by the Central Support Service when at least two participating schools in a project have received the National Quality Label from their respective NSS. It is automatically granted twice a year, so that it is not necessary to make a request. To be able to participate in the European Awards it is necessary for the project to have been granted a European Quality Label.
How and when can I enter a project for an award?
In each annual convocation of the European Awards and National Awards. The deadlines and requirements are published in advance on the Central Support Service and National Support Service web pages.
Can I enter a finished project for an award?
Yes, provided that it has not been given a previous award. The Central Support Service and the National Support Service web pages publish the bases of each convocation with the specific requirements for each one.
Who can enter for an award?
Any teacher who participates in an eTwinning project can enter for a National Award. To enter for a European Award, the project has to have obtained a European Quality Seal and, also, the teacher applying should have received the National Quality Label. It is advisable for the project to be already finished or to be in the final stages in order to have enough elements to evaluate. The Central Support Service and the National Support Service web pages publish the bases of each convocation with the specific requirements for each one.
