ETT Comenius (European Tales and Treasures)
ETT Comenius (European Tales and Treasures) is an eTwinning-Comenius Project involving six countries. The Project is about stories and legends. It is aimed at pupils from the age of 12 to 16 and it is a cross-curricular project. The Project includes the areas of Modern Foreign Languages (MFL) and aspects of Cultural History, Language and Literature and Audiovisual Communication.
Each country shares its popular legends and the pupils from other countries adapt these stories and legends into comics; Power Point and Shoebox Presentations; creative projects or theatrical performances. All these materials are stored and shared on the TwinSpace site. In addition to this, pupils are encouraged to create a hymn about the project which includes stories and a section about recipes too from other participating centres.
Each participating centre is responsible for the presentation and organization of all the activities generated during the visit. They create a blog in order to share all the presentations and materials generated by the pupils. The presentations and the materials will be ordered by legends. The communication and collaboration tools provided by the TwinSpace site should be used and the centres can create a Facebook group about the project in order to promote and encourage further interaction and collaboration between participants.
It is remarkable how the evaluation section has motivated and interested both parents and pupils alike. The Project has also allowed the pupils to further develop their basic skills.
