Art connects us
Art Connects Us is a project inspired by European artists who are representative of each participating country in the Project (Spain, the United Kingdom, Poland, Turkey and Slovenia).
Each centre proposes a painter to study and to base their work on.
Generally, the work generated has been multidisciplinary and has involed Physical Education, Modern Foreign Languages, Language and Literature and Geography and History (the Humanities). The multidisciplinary nature of the Project meant that the pupils often started off their projects within one disciplinary area and developed their work through several other disciplines.
The excellent coordination and collaboration between the participating teachers throughout the Project was commendable. This was particularly evident in the superb initial preparation which included clear objectives and the effective organisation of activities, all of which is clearly explained in one of the sections of the Project. In addition to this, we emphasise the fact that TwinSpace is very well organised so that it is very easy to see the contributions made by each country.
The communication tools 2.0 employed during the development of this Project have been adapted in order to show and share the work (usually visual work) of the rest of the participating countries. Many websites and applications have been used during this Project including Voki, PictureTrail, SlideShare, YouTube, ProShow Web and Animoto.
We congratulate the participating teachers for actively promoting the development of this open and imaginative Project. Art Connects Us has allowed pupils to express themselves through many different artistic and technological means and to enrich their cultural level and knowledge of people and their traditions.
