33,000 users registered in School Education Gateway
The School Education Gateway portal has managed to attract some 50,000 visitors and 33,000 registered users since it was launched in January 2015.
We would like to remind you that one of the fundamental objectives of the platform is to serve as an information point for users linked to the world of education (teachers, experts, schools and institutions) so that they can keep up to date with European action aimed at schools.
Users can consult news items on different educational topics, access historical publications, find examples of good educational practice developed through European projects as well as articles written by experts in the field of school education.
The web page also offers three tools especially designed to locate schools and teachers with whom you can set up any of the initiatives available through the Erasmus+ programme:
· The course catalogue currently presents more than 2900 teacher training courses.
· The mobility opportunities database offers teachers and non-teaching personnel different European destinations for job shadowing, temporary placement and long term teaching assignments.
· The search tool for finding strategic partnerships to be able to carry out collaborative projects.
All these tools for Erasmus+ will be available in 23 languages from 31st March.
The School Education Gateway initiative is financed by the European Erasmus+ programme for Education, Training, Youth and Sport. It is run by European Schoolnet, an international consortium of 31 European ministries of education on behalf of the European Commission's Directorate-General for Education and Culture (Unit B.2 – Schools and Educators; Multilingualism .
