Show your work!

This activity has been carried out by the schools in Poland and Malta that have taken part in the project Colours of life - common story written by children, in which the Gloria Fuertes Infant Education School has also taken part.

Thanks to the drawing tool Sketchfu, children from both schools have participated in the creation of various stories illustrated by themselves. This is already a meaningful activity, but what we wish to highlight with this best bit is the video showing how the activity was carried out. It is a good example to promote the procedures for the different activities integrated in a project, which are just as important as their products.

Fly above the European cultural heritage

Collaboration between students from different schools has become true in this activity of the project Like a bird, including 11 schools from 7 different countries, such as the  Ramon Macip - Dolors Granés Infant and Primary Education School and the Eduard Fontseré Secondary School.

With an initial selection of interesting sights in the different countries represented in the project, three groups of students from the different schools created common presentations, where one of them provided information about the monument, the other provided images and the third one made a model. Here you can see the Sanctuary of Our Lady in Poland and the countries that have worked on each part.

Curious talks about wild animals

2010

The following activity is a part of the project Double-e: e-magazine on European issues, created by students from the IES Aguas Vivas Secondary School (Guadalajara), together with their Romanian and Danish partners.

It is a video included in the digital magazine about European affairs Double-e and, more specifically, dealing with the theme edition about animal protection. That is why a group of Spanish students has provided some puppets with the knowledge acquired about wildlife through the search for information and the further discussion and exchange of opinions. Basically, it is a different way to give examples and show different issues and aspects of everyday life, also adding a touch of creativity and originality.

You've got work, Hercules

In the project Searching twelve labors to Hercules, students from the IES Vegas Bajas Secondary School (Montijo, Badajoz) and their Italian partners had to assign new tasks to the mythological hero Hercules and help him solve them. In order to complete this mission, they needed a webquest, a wiki and a blog. The webquest was the most important one, as they achieved excellent levels of planning and organisation. Here, students have not only found guidelines and instructions about the activities to be carried out, but they have also expanded their knowledge about Classical Culture and have acquired a current dimension thanks to the resources and interesting news published about Hercules.

European citizen space

18
Jan
2010

In the eTwinning project Espacio ciudadano europeo (European citizen space) done at the IES María Moliner Secondary School in Sevilla and EB 2,3 in Vila Caiz Amarante in Portugal, we can find an activity that turns out to be the perfect example of how to carry out a collaborative action. This activity is called El cambio climático en la Península Ibérica (Climate change in the Iberian Peninsula) and here the contributions of each school result in a quality work, which is also set in the context of the geographical area of each school and with the sense given by the proximity of the regions involved. Climate change knows nothing about frontiers.

In order to take part in an eTwinning project, we do not need to use a common language, and this activity is a good example. Portuguese and Spanish students have used their mother tongues - given they are similar - and this has enriched the work even more.
