Story Between Pictures

Story Between Pictures is an eTwinning Project aimed at groups of pupils from 9 to 11 years old. The participating countries are: Spain, the United Kingdom, the Ukraine and Turkey.

The principal idea is the creation of an ebook in which the pupils include their discoveries about the work of five recognised and prestigious artists from the participating countries. The pupils create their own work of fiction too. The orientation of the Project is multidisciplinary and involves the active participation of the following subject areas: Modern Foreign Languages, Music, Art, Theatre, Geography and History and Information Technology. The pupils practice the use of a foreign language and share social and cultural aspects of their respective countries. Videos, video conferences and presentations are used.

The Project makes use of simple communication tools, such as: Prezi, SlideShare, Powerpoint, Smilebox, PowToon, YouTube, Vokis, Vimeo Satisfaction for the presentations. Surveymonkey and Padlet are used for their final evaluations.

After the initial introductions, the pupils have taken the responsibility of looking for information on the Internet about selected artists. They have shared the results of their investigations using Vokis, videos, imaginative stories and presentations. This information has been commented on through blogs and TwinSpace foros and the evaluations of the pupils have been shared.

Without doubt, this Project is a balanced and well organised project which has helped to promote: the European dimension within the participating schools; the value of teamwork; and the basic skills of the pupils.
